Today I set forth to Presidio park as it has great historical significance and scenery. From the top I thought that I could get an alternative view of San Diego as opposed from looking at it from Mt.Helix the other day. Arriving at the top reminded me of the days that I spent in elementary school learning about the spanish and their discovery of San Diego. It brought back the memories of studying the mission and the old town program that we once did in school. To this day the craftsmanship of the mission still amazes me with symmetric pillars and large rounded arches that make the building up. Moving ahead to the lush grass fields made me appreciate how nice it is to see an open field and the importance of grass. Now living in drought I see less and less of it and seeing it makes me appreciate how great it is to walk on lay down on it. I also ventured off into some of the other hiking trails and observed the nature and ecology around the area. It was filled with lush tall tress along with cactus, and other palms. Once again I have realized that when visiting a place filled with nature and scenery, tends to take you away from life and lets you relax for a bit. While I was looking at the top and looked onto to the freeway. It just made me realize how packed life can be as all the cars were stuck in traffic. Through these trips I have realized the importance to get out and relax for a bit. To enjoy nature and the things around you, you can't always stay inside and its important to stay in touch with nature.
